If you see a dead animal on the roads of Delhi, please consider giving the animal or bird a dignified farewell. You may dig a pit, place the corpse of the animal in the pit and cover it with salt (sendha namak) as that will help the flesh to decompose and prevent insects from eating into it.

My complaint is not against any company rather it is for cruelty to animals. For the past 3-4 months somebody from my neighbourhood is throwing dead pegions on my terrace. Upon inquiring from my neighbours i was told that pegions don’s have a long life or cat or monkey must have killed the pegion. But to my surprise i have extended the walls on my terrace vertically and have fixed glass pieces on the edges so that monkeys and cats could not jump on to my terrace. Moreover, there are no marks on the body of the dead pegion. It seems that the poor bird has been strangulated and somebody must have used it to perform some ritual. I have doubt on two of my neighbours, first one is a kashmiri family they do lot of poojas and i have seen them carrying flowers/wateretc on the terrace early in the morning or very late in the night. The other family are punjabis and good people but their maid’s husband is a tantrik and does lot of jhad phoonk in his locality.
I tried to discuss the mattr with the president of our RWA , Shipra Suncity Society, Indirapuram Ghaziabad, who also happens to call himself a worker of BJP. This fellow was behind the bars for almost a month in a sexual assualt case and has somehow settled the case with the aggrieved lady by paying some ransom. He also workers as a part time priest in the temple situated in the campus of the society.
I want help in this regard.The so called BJP worker is of no help. PLEASE HELP.

No Sir, I don’t think DDA would allow that, but may be you can sensitize your colony residents to allow you to do so in an unused park in the colony…dig a deep enough pit, carry enough kgs of SENDHA NAMAK and sprinkle it over the animal before you put the mud on top of the pit again, as it would help in quick decomposition. we do understand its a tough situation, but may be otherwise you can bury your pet in any of the hospital crematoriums like the one at Sanjay Gandhi Animal Hospital in Rajouri Garden, Jeevashram at Rajokri, or Friendicoes at Gurgaon.

That doesnt work everytime, called MCD to clear a dead cow from GGN FDB road and followed up for full week, proactive call center with good intentions…but got number of this contractor that contractor but each one ended up with madam this is not in our area. But thanks for the list of animal welfare groups with contact numbers, very helpful. Just that the cow/bull helplines dont have the location specified, are there any specific to gurgaon?

GGN FDB Road is a complicated area as it comes under either the Municipality of Faridabad of Municipality of Gurgaon, and not the MCD and thus perhaps the confusion and you being forwarded from one agency to the other. With regard to the cow ambulance query of yours, Kamdhenu Cow Ambulance service functions in Delhi and NCR, as far as we have been told by them.

Dead bulls and cows are taken by Municipality hired contractors who then take them to the Slaughterhouse where there skin is removed and sent to Tanneries for leather! Sad as it is but this is what is done according to what we know. We could be wrong too.

There was a dead dog right in middle of the shivalik- malviya nagar road. All it’s organs we’re inside out and crows were having a feast on them. The vehicles were facing problem in crossing the hurdle, but alas, nobody had the time to do anything about it. I guess the busy schedules is to be blamed. But I contacted the MCD and they’re getting the body picked up. I didn’t know what to do, so your site was up to the rescue, and I got the MCD number from here. So it’s just a thanks note. Today, I saw some grapes scattered on streets in Mahindra Park, Pitampura. Some dogs were also roaming there. The dogs may have eaten the grapes. In my locality, two dogs were taken by MCD claimed person. After 4 days dogs came back, but I have no idea what they injecting them, but they are dying, their ears are cut and not eating anything and can die any moment, tell me what to do and whom to complain.

They may have contracted some infection at the Dog Sterilisation center they were taken to…take them to a vet immediately
