    • Why shelter for your old 12 year old home dog? Tomorrow you would also turn old Mrs.Babu…your kids should throw you in an old age home then rather than look after you when you need them most! Remember that! What you do to your old dog today would happen to you tomorrow.

  11. Please Help me, a street dog here in my colony (New Santoshpur, Kolkata, West Bengal) has a deep hollow wound just above his right eye. . I don’t want him to catch infection and die out of it, I adore him. . but my parents are opposing me to aid him, since I am down with fever and have board exam in two weeks, they fear if treating him with antiseptic (i thought of organic stuffs like haldi, so that there is no side effect) gives him pain he will bite back. . What do I do? He was missing for a few weeks, and I don’t really know where he sleeps at night, so I don’t know how he got such a wound. . Maybe it was some other dog.

    • Hi! This is pritha.i am from tollygunge.Listen very carefully! Buy immediately a neosporin powder.it comes in a white small bottle with blue cap. Costs around 55 rs. Make a hole in the above and spray the powder to the hole. You have to do this thing minimum 2times a day. I do 3-5times a day to my street dogs. It is the best medicine to cover up the wound. Apply this regularly. Do not coat the hole with powder too much. Lightly powder the area.but do it several times a day.tomorrow you will find that muscles tissues are started to grow in that area.and after 7days the skin will form and cover up the area. Soon the fur will also develop.
Another thing is, give an antibiotic with antacid. The one I give is – antibiotic-cefpodoxime tablets IP200mg , and antacid- rantac.
Powder one rantac and one antibiotic tablet and mix them. Add it to the food you give to the dog. Don’t ever give the antibiotic alone,ie ,without the antacid. Give this medicine once a day and same time regularly upto 10days. After 10days don’t give antibiotic and antacid a the course will be completed. Please follow this rule to get the dog cured.

I already own a pet and it’s not possible for me to take care of him at my home .. Is there any way that I can save that helpless life .. 18. Hello,
My sister is living in chennai. There is a small pup in her neighbourhood who is always tied up on a very short leash by the family that owns him. He cannot even reach his water bowl. Yesterday, when my sister went to see him, she found him cowering, afraid to even look up or greet. My sister has already contacted Blue Cross of Chennai. Is there anything else we should be doing to better the little thing’s conditions? We really feel he’ll die of starvation and neglect at this rate.

    • Yes, confront the owner to unleash the pup or face legal repercussions of inflicting cruelty on the pup as defined under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act of India. You can contact organisations like InCARE in Chennai too

I’m living in a remote area. I adopted a puppy. Its one year old now. Its suffering from infection. We couldn’t find any hospitals here. We have only one veterinary doctor. We call him often when we find any changes/infection on my puppy. His fur shed away almost. Bleeding sometimes. He bite it and we called doctor again . he asked to consult city doctors. As he couldn’t find what it is. We are ready to take him. But the thing is infection is all over his nect. We can’t tie a rope also. If we see new ppl, he will obviously shout. Please help me out. I’ve taken the photos (before/after) and the medicines he had taken. If its possible to find the medicine, pls reach me out.
I’m really in need. I can’t see my Caesar suffering like this.

  28. Hello. I’m writing from Adyar, Chennai. My neighbor’s dog has been crying for the past 2 days and I have no idea why. I’ve asked the watchman and they said that it’s because the dog is sick and that they’ve tied him. I asked the owner once again and she shut the door on my face without a reply. The dog stopped crying right after but keeps crying from time to time. I’ve contacted blue cross but they don’t pick up the calls. I’ve contacted AWPT and they directed me towards Animal Welfare Board Of India. I called them and I haven’t gotten any replies at all. I’d appreciate your help.

There are Hospitals that exist to treat injured animals
